Nickelodeon Universe
Mason, OH
Client: Cedar Fair
Project Description
Kings Island is a 364-acre amusement park located 24 miles northeast of Cincinnati, OH. In 1993, Paramount Parks began incorporating themes from its movies into the park. Viacom entered the picture after acquiring Paramount in 1994, paving the way for Nickelodeon’s presence—Nickelodeon Splat City, followed by Nickelodeon Central and eventually Nickelodeon Universe. A&ES’s themed Nickelodeon Universe features 18 attractions, including incredible characters, rides, and amusements for all ages.

The theming overlays created by A&ES for expansion are truly phenomenal. Every realistic detail is meticulously executed with keen attention paid to the highest quality materials and engineering. Want to see who’s who at the 18 attractions on Paramount’s Kings Island? Visit Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants among many other familiar faces at the Pineapple Café. Visitors of all ages enjoy the Nickelodeon character sculptures’ natural charisma and spunk. A prime example of A&ES’s commitment to excellence, the artistry and refusal to take shortcuts is evident in the finished product.
