The theme-based 17th-century Spanish galleon on Orlando’s International Drive features a 41-foot tall pirate ship…

Come aboard, mates! The adventures and legends of infamous pirates come to life as you enter our world of 17th-century buccaneers—sunken ships, cascading waterfalls, dreaded pirate dungeons, and lush, tropical vegetation. At Pirate Cove’s International Drive is a theme-based family attraction that highlights the new 17th-century featuring scenic designs, structures, and props. A&ES creates the interactive show design and development working from its expansive Jacksonville, FL, facility on the design, engineering, and production of the critical scenic structures and authentic props. Included are accompanying audiovisual, lighting, mechanical and special effects.

A&ES Build Highlights

A&ES took on the design/build of one such structure—the mammoth hull of a highly ornamental and heavy gunned 17th-century Spanish galleon. Its design replicates the Queenship. A&ES specializes in meeting all local building codes relative to this massive 56-foot long by 41-foot-tall navigational structure. The Spanish galleon features highly detailed custom dimensional ornamentation, faux texturing and finishing, and incorporates various specialized techniques, such as CNC routing, millwork, and metal and fiberglass fabrication.
